SpringHill Suites by Marriott Kalamazoo Portage

The hotel is very clean. Easily accessible off the highway. The lobby, pool, workout area, bar and sitting areas are well maintained and have a nice atmosphere. Most importantly- the staff and Manager (Kevin) are all great! Welcoming, accommodating and friendly. This was our second time staying at this location - and the staff and cleanliness of the hotel is why we will continue to stay there when we are in town for tournaments.

The management was super nice. There were a few hiccups but management more than made up for it in the service they gave us. We had been sent there by another hotel that's pool was down and we had an amazing experience. The staff was attentive and management was more than stellar esp Mr Loofboro. I would def recommend this hotel to anyone from business stays to family getaways.. and they have spas and other facilities nearby to add to the experience. 9/10 for my family and i.

We stayed here with a large group and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly and genuinely welcoming, and check-in was smooth even with our group size. The personalized water bottles and cookies at check-in were such a thoughtful touch and made us feel truly valued. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for group stays or any visit.

Everything was fantastic besides the front desk girl was never at the front desk. Making me wait 15 mins while I searched for another employee to find the front desk girl. Later that evening I came back downstairs and yet another guest was in the lobby looking for the front desk girl. She finally came out from the back and had yet another excuse as to why she wasnt there. This is a nice hotel and too nice to have staff that don't wana do there job. I'd look for a new hire

This hotel is consistently clean, safe, and staffed by an excellent team. The rooms are always well maintained, and it’s incredibly convenient that so many food options will DoorDash right to your room. The complimentary breakfast each morning is a great bonus, and the small on-site bar is perfect if you want to relax with a drink. I’ve had very positive stays here.

Stayed here for 2 nights during the week. The positive: - Perfect location for where I needed to be. - Spacious and clean room with a comfortable bed. - Nice desk area to get some work done. - Good breakfast. The not so positive: - Ridiculously low water pressure in the shower. - The room had a little "sound machine". That didn't bode well. Even though I was on the top floor on the North side of the hotel (so not facing the Interstate), there was a really weird, loud and kind of overwhelming non-stop zooming/buzzing sound in the area around my room. It was extremely distracting, and didn't allow me to relax at night. I was only able to sleep thanks to my earplugs. I don't know if other floors have this issue, but I will probably consider a different hotel if I am ever back in Portage.

I've stayed at Springhill Suites several times because it is a very welcoming, comfortable, attractive place to stay. They have a really good continental breakfast, nice common area to eat or relax in, and a well equipped workout room. Rooms are spacious and attractively decorated. Beds are comfortable. Bathroom is neat and clean. I really couldn't be happier with any of my stays. Plus, it's easy access to the highway and food, shopping, etc. Can't go wrong staying here. Great location off the freeway. Super clean and friendly staff. Hot tub was nice (although a little heavy on the chlorine). Breakfast was standard hotel fair-eggs, waffles, yogurt, etc. Was able to check in a little early so we could put our stuff in the room before going tailgating which was nice of the staff to accommodate. Would definitely stay here again!
